ARENAL VOLCANO & CANO NEGRO
2 Days & 1 Night

DAY 1
You'll see unforgettable sights from the active and bubbling Arenal Volcano. In addition to the observation of this natural wonder, the tour itself will give you a lot of experiences not to be missed such as Arenal Lake, Zarcero's lush gardens, Laguna and Tapezco towns, and much more. The tour will then proceed to Tabacon Resort Thermal Waters where you will be swimming in the natural hot water spring from the volcano. A dinner will be served at Tabacon resort. Night accommodation in the Volcano area.

DAY 2
Departure at 7:30 a.m. You will be driving one hour and a half in a comfortable bus with air conditioning and naturalist guide to the town of “Los Chiles” , located just a few miles from the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where you will take a boat to the wildlife refuge . You will enjoy two hours and a half in the boat admiring the exuberant nature of the area. After taking a delicious lunch, you will hike for 25 minutes in the forest. Then you will depart to “Los Chiles” to take the bus that will take you to La Fortuna at 16:30 p.m. 

DAY 1Transfer from San Jose to Monteverde. Day at Leisure at the Villa Verde Hotel.

DAY 2
Tour in Monteverde reserve (entrance fee included + guide)

DAY 3
After breakfast, transfer back to San Jose

Starting from your hotel in San Jose to the Pacific port of Puntarenas, you will board the Manta Raya catamaran for a full-day, relaxing and enchanting cruise. The cruise will take you through the Gulf of Nicoya en route to the Tortuga Island, well known for its untouched sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Once on the island, lunch will be served on linen covered tables in the shade of white umbrellas while you enjoy the scenery. In the afternoon, you will pass the islands of San Lucas, Sugar Loaf, Jesusita, Cedros, and the national park islands of Guayabo and Negritos.

FOUR IN ONE

This complete tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy the highlights of Costa Rica in one full day. First by going to Poas Volcano, one of the most famous volcanoes due to its enormous crater. Then, you will continue your journey, while your tour guide gives you an overview of the tour, you will be able to stop for photos at the picturesque La Paz and San Fernando Waterfalls. At Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, we will board the boat to discover the richness of Costa Rica’s nature along the Sarapiqui River. The boat rides will last 2 hours, time to witness the magnificent rain forest and its habitants, such toucans, monkeys, slots, crocodiles…
At the end of the river adventure, you will be arriving to a private farm, to enjoy a home-style lunch, then you can hike on one of the nature trails or explore the surroundings on horseback. In afternoon, before returning to the city, enjoy the scenic view of the exuberant Braulio Carrillo.

CARARA BIOLOGICAL RESERVE

Highly recommended. We begin with a delicious breakfast and a comfortable ride to the Pacific town of Tarcoles. Here we will explore one of the most fascinating Biological Reserve in Costa Rica. The Reserve is famous for its abundance of Tropical plants, animals and tropical birds. The area abounds with Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, Trogons, and many other species of tropical birds. The reserve is also home of ocelots, sloths, four species of monkeys and many other tropical animals. There will be time later to relax and enjoy the nearby Jacó Beach. If you come to Costa Rica to enjoy the splendid tropical plants and wild life, you will enjoy this tour.

POAS VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK

The Poás Volcano in one of the world’s largest geysers with an awesome crater over 1.5 kilometers wide. The volcano is active, but completely safe for viewing. This tour begins with a beautiful drive through the City of Alajuela and the lush coffee plantations and flower farms of the area. In addition to the volcano, the Poás National Park is a 9884-acre preserve with rich tropical vegetation and animal life. The tour includes a hike through the surrounding tropical rainforest, which is teeming with plant life and exotic birds. The hike concludes at a restful, emerald green, tropical lagoon.

GRECIA & SARCHI (OXCART FACTORY)

This tour begins with a wonderful drive through some of Costa Rica’s largest coffee and sugar cane plantations. Arriving first at Grecia, we will see and learn about the famous metal church, a rare and beautiful architecture. Next we will tour the fascinating craftsman factories of Sarchi where the famous oxcarts of Costa Rica are built. Splendidly decorated and in various sizes, these oxcarts are treasured worldwide for their unique beauty.

IRAZU VOLCANO

This trip begins ascending to the breathtaking summit of the Irazú Volcano for a view of the massive crater. On a clear day, you may see the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Then you will visit the historic City of Cartago. On this area, you will observe the mysterious ancient ruins of the old parish and view the beautiful “Basilica” of the “Virgin de Los Angeles” cathedral with rich displays of carvings, statues and art.

OROSI VALLEY & LANKESTER GARDENS

The Lankaster Gardens are a tropical paradise featuring over 800 varieties of exotic orchids and multitude of various tropical flowers and jungle plant life. After a 45 minute walk through the gardens, this tour continues with a ride through the unique beauty of the famous Orosí Valley and Reventazón River. The area is noted for its rich soil, abundant plant life and resplendent coffee plantations. In Orosí we will visit one of the oldest colonial churches of our country. We will also stop at the Cachi Hydroelectric Dam.

IRAZU VOLCANO / LANKESTER / OROSI

Enjoy the ride to the historic city of Cartago on your way to the active volcano IRAZU. Visit the Basilica of "Our Lady of the Angels" before getting a close look at the volcano that towers at 11,257 feet. This tour will also take you to the Lankester Gardens, a stunning place housing over 800 species of orchids. This journey is completed by a visit to the OROSI Valley, home to Bride's Veil Falls, the reconstructed Ruins of Ujarras (oldest church in Central America), and the San Jose of Orosi monastery.

COSTARICAN NIGHTS

Enjoy a trip to the City of San José of the past century. Pueblo Antiguo is a scale model of the capital City with its most important buildings of the end of the nineteenth century. Immerse yourself in the customs and traditions of Costa Rica with the Costa Rican Nights Show, with a display of the folk music and dances. Enjoy a typical dinner while fireworks explode in the sky above. A tour you cannot miss!
